Immigration and Health Care: Legislation on the Table WILL Extend Health Care to Illegal Aliens

By James Edwards, Updated Wednesday, September 9, 2009, 9:47 PM EST

Just about the time the Center for Immigration Studies was holding a press briefing at the National Press Club about the immigration and health reform connection, proponents from President Obama on down were denying that illegal aliens would receive taxpayer-funded health care under pending legislation.

Will You Help Us with Our Latest Petition Drive?

By Phillip Zanders, Updated Monday, March 30, 2009, 10:49 AM EST

Many of you responded to my last blog stating that we need far more signatures on a petition to have any type of impact. But are you willing to help us distribute this one to truly make an impression? As “Gary6333 of NY” commented, “Four times bigger is still not enough! EVERYONE needs to push this site EVERYWHERE they go. MAKE THIS MOVEMENT GROW!”

PROF. SWAIN: No task too audacious for Obama -- except protecting U.S. jobs from illegal workers

By Roy Beck, Saturday, February 28, 2009, 2:58 AM EST

Professor Carol Swain

Carol Swain, professor of law and political science at Vanderbilt University, has noted in the Nashville Tennessean that Pres. Obama has now promised to lead the way to cure cancer, end foreign oil dependence and guarantee higher education to everyone who wants it. But when it comes to keeping illegal aliens out of U.S. jobs so that unemployed Americans (especially Blacks and Hispanics) can have them, Obama can't seem to lift a finger.

Take This (Amnesty) Gift 'Or Leave The Country,' Says White House

By Roy Beck, Wednesday, March 10, 2010, 2:26 PM EST

This is what goes for tough talk on illegal immigration at the White House: We'll offer permanent work permits, permanent residency and path to citizenship to illegal aliens but if they don't sign up, they just have to go home.

Spread These Ads That Pres. Obama Not Enforcing Immigration Laws & Fails To Put Americans Back to Work

By Roy Beck, Monday, March 8, 2010, 11:30 AM EST

A rolling national TV and internet ad campaign began this morning that puts the lie to Pres. Obama's speeches that his No. 1 priority is putting Americans back to work. The ads note that he could put millions back to work if he would fully enforce immigration laws -- but he has cut enforcement by 60%. Do what you can to spread these ads everywhere. . . .

White Open-Borders Activists Accuse Anti-Amnesty Black Group of Being Like the Klan

By Roy Beck, Updated Saturday, March 6, 2010, 8:30 AM EST

Well-funded open-borders groups send hecklers to call me a "white supremacist" every place I speak. But I was still a little surprised when I spoke to a Black grassroots group recently to have all the African Americans there also accused. It now looks like pro-amnesty groups are willing to label as racist anybody who advocates for less immigration.

New JOBS CAUCUS Is Serious About Putting Americans Back To Work (unlike most federal politicians)

By Roy Beck, Thursday, March 4, 2010, 7:12 PM EST

For 16 months, NumbersUSA has tried to focus politicians and news media on the fact that millions of jobless Americans could be put back to work if immigration policies were changed. Now, a new Caucus in the U.S. House has been formed to promote the same message INSIDE Congress. Politicians joining the Reclaim American Jobs Caucus make unemployed Americans a priority.

Open-Borders Lobby Lost a Lot In Final Obama Healthcare Bill

By Roy Beck, Tuesday, March 2, 2010, 12:23 PM EST

The virulently open-border Congressional Hispanic Caucus appears poised to vote FOR health care verification requirements that they vehemently oppose. And that is both a great irony of this protracted debate and a sign that grassroots activists for sensible immigration policies can take at least some satisfaction for all of their efforts this past year to make sure that whatever happens on health care, there won't be big extra incentives for breaking immigration laws.

Retiring Rep. Deal Leaves 17-Year Record of Trying to End Birthright Citizenship

By Roy Beck, Monday, March 1, 2010, 6:46 PM EST

The retirement of Rep. Nathan Deal (R-Ga.) will end a 17-year unbroken commitment to persuading Congress to eliminate birthright citizenship for illegal aliens. He was among the co-sponsors of the original bill in 1993 to put the U.S. in line with most other modern nations. And he has been the lead sponsor of the bill in every Congress since 2003.

E-Verify Is Much Stronger Than This Week's Negative News Reports -- But SAVE Act Needed

By Roy Beck, Friday, February 26, 2010, 6:39 PM EST

I hope very critical news reports about E-Verify this week did not shake your confidence in mandatory workplace verification. I will tell you there is more to the story, but also that the weaknesses in E-Verify are why we call for the passage of the SAVE Act which has extra provisions to combat identity fraud. . . .
